This cat was purchased for a nursing home resident. It has been a joy to take around the nursing home and see the other residents react to it also. They all love it and respond to it lovingly with smiles on their faces. They are amazed at the breathing. Thanks for inventing this type of pet. Givemetoys has been great with us also. Thanks!

Because caring for a pet had become difficult for my aging mother, we got her the Pet Nap Sleeping Cat. This has become her constant companion and she is comforted by the soft sounds it makes. We are very pleased with the product and with the prompt and efficient delivery system.

It's cute, but after one drop on a hard floor, the cat stopped breathing. The motor still turns on and makes noise, but something must have gotten dislodged. Bummer, cause it broke on Christmas, first day out of the box. Disappointed.
 CHRISTMAS PRESENT THAT DIDN'T WORK January 3, 2008
ITEM WAS PURCHASED FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT. GOOD THING I CHECKED IT OUT BEFORE GIVING IT AS A GIFT. IT DID NOT WORK.. ASKED FOR A REFUND.

My mother is a cat lover and she no longer is able to have a cat now that she is living in a retirement apartment complex so she bought one of these to keep her company. My 6 year old fell in love with it so I bought it for her. She loved having it and played with it a lot for the first few weeks, but it has lost it's appeal. It's not cuddly at all, and if you take it out of it's bed it loses it's "life-like" quality. The bottom of it is plastic and very hard, and there is no attempt to make it look like a cat underneath. The cat is not posable - it has the one position and that's it. It does "breath" - it's side goes up and down - although it's slightly mechanical sounding.
That all sounds a bit negative - but it's very cute in it's way. Has kind of limited appeal though. I don't think that I would buy it again but I'm a sucker for my kid :)
On the positive side my mom loves hers - but she's got a touch of dementia; and it is exactly as described.
